Editor-in-chief-conference on Economics June 2021

Beijing Jiaotong University will organize an Editor-in-chief conference on Economics 11-20 June 2021. The conference will be online, and it will be free of charge. Eight journal editors are invited to introduce their journals and best writing practice including Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Development Economics, Games and Economic Behavior, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Environment Economics and Management, and Energy Economics.

The invited editors are:

There will be two blocks:

Plenary session on June, 11 (starting at 20:00 BJ time). All eight editors will attend to introduce their journals and best writing practice;

Thematic session on June, 13 to June 20 (starting at 20:00 BJ time), which consists of eight seminars one for each day inviting one editor to talk on their latest research.

Note! There’s the following change in the program presented in the above links:

The webinar by Richard S.J. Tol, Editor-in-Chief, Energy Economics, with title ”The Economic Impact of Weather and Climate”, which was originally scheduled to be 16 June at 20:00-22:30, is moved to be held on 12 June at 20:00-22:30. There is no webinar on 16 June.

ITEA Annual Conference and School

The aim of the annual ITEA Conference is to promote scientific excellence in the field of transport economics and to provide a forum for scientific exchange. Research presented at the Conference covers both theory and empirical work, it includes all transport modes, and it allows a wide range of research methodologies. Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to, transport pricing and investment, competition policy, transport decisions under uncertainty, agglomeration effects, valuation of intangibles, privatization, the economics of new transport technologies, the political economy of transport decisions, etc.

The aim of the annual ITEA School is to provide young researchers a high quality introduction to academic research on transport economics, including many recent advances in the field. The School’s program consists of a series of lectures and tutorials; all faculty members are among the most prominent researchers in transport economics.

Members of the International Transportation Economics Association (ITEA) have free online access to Economics of Transportation: Journal of the ITEA (ECOTRA). The journal is published by Elsevier.
